This is my final character design.  I tried two backgrounds, but I like the top one with the black and gray background better.  The theme of my drawing is "animals can be human."

Egene Koo is my artist a day.  She is an illustrator that lives in South Korea.  Her paintings are very unique.  She likes to combine many different things into one picture.  She has humans and animals mixed together wearing stylish clothes and accessories.

Hello everybody my name is Joanne Chan.  This is my first time taking a digital art class or any art class actually.  It is also my first time using Photoshop, Illustrator, or even writing in a blog! 

By the end of this class I hope I can create simple drawings and artwork with Photoshop and Illustrator.  I think my art will be very unique and edgy.  I look forward to learning about some creative artists.

First Blog Assignment

Here are some images I collected from the internet that I might use for the Characters Project. 

I always liked Hello Kitty since I was young.  I think this picture is really cool because it shows a cute Hello Kitty character doing bad stuff.  

I also like Lady Gaga because she's very creative with her costumes and style.  She always wears crazy outfits and has cool ideas for her music videos and performances. 

I like the negative effect of this picture.  

This image is so cool because it has many interpretations.  The artwork is very detailed.
